The upper register reads 'Zarb Daulatabad' (struck at Daulatabad), denoting the mint of issue, while the lower register records the regnal year in Arabic numerals. Scattered pellets are visible in the field, a common decorative or diacritical feature of Hyderabad copper coinage. The irregular planchet and uneven strike reflect the primitive hammered production technique of the Daulatabad mint. |
