Obverse description Highly stylized architectural or symbolic motif rendered in high relief, characteristic of the Chalukya coinage tradition. The upper register depicts a rectilinear temple-like structure or stepped platform with vertical striations, surmounted by a prominent central globule. The lower register presents two arched forms flanking a central element, each arch adorned with multiple raised globules arranged in a decorative pattern. The overall composition is deeply struck in the bold, schematic style typical of South Indian hammered gold pagodas of the 11th century.
