Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of Lord Venkateswara (a form of Vishnu) standing in rigid hieratic posture, flanked on each side by a chakra (discus), rendered in a stylized South Indian iconographic tradition. The deity is depicted with characteristic attributes, the figure occupying the entire field in low relief against a plain ground. The treatment reflects the indigenous artistic conventions employed at the Pulicat mint under Dutch East India Company authority.
