| Reverse description | The central insert, finished with a distinctive green colorized treatment, reproduces a raised depiction of Burg Vianden castle as it appeared on the Luxembourg 1 Franc coin of 1995, rendered in high relief against a deeply recessed field. In the lower center of the insert, a circular cartouche displays the interlinked monogram of Grand Duke Jean surmounted by a crown, closely echoing the design of the original Luxembourg Franc. The outer silver ring bears the commemorative legend FINAL ISSUE OF THE LUXEMBOURG FRANC arcing along the upper border, while the denomination 1 PA'ANGA appears at the base flanked by two five-pointed stars, commemorating the retirement of the Luxembourg Franc upon the introduction of the Euro. |
