| 正面描述 | The Royal Arms of Tonga displayed centrally within a beaded inner circle, featuring the shield quartered with a cross and stars, supported by two warriors each holding a Tongan flag, surmounted by a royal crown within a wreath of olive branches, and a motto ribbon at the base. The legend KINGDOM OF TONGA arcs across the upper field, with the date 1993 inscribed in the lower field. The entire design is set against a deeply mirrored proof field. |

Tonga's commemorative silver program in the early 1990s was prolific to the point of controversy — the National Reserve Bank issued dozens of collector pieces with little connection to Tongan history, targeting the international numismatic market rather than domestic circulation. This Humboldt piece fits squarely in that category. Humboldt never visited Tonga, and his inclusion here reflects the era's appetite for prestige-name subjects on Pacific island coinage.
KM#153 was struck in limited quantities for export sale. Mintages for this series were rarely disclosed publicly.
