Obverse description The obverse features a raised circular device in the upper portion depicting the Morgan dollar obverse design — a left-facing Liberty head with coronet and flowing hair, surrounded by stars and the date 1913, with a beaded border. The legend THE METAL ARTS CO. arcs around the upper field of the circle. Below the device, the field carries the inscriptions .999 FINE SILVER ONE TROY OUNCE, followed by a rectangular cartouche bearing the circled MA monogram and ASSAYERS REFINERS, with a serial number 5722 in a separate panel at the base.
