Reverse description Two stylized wheat ears flank the central field in an open wreath arrangement. The central field bears the denomination ONE CENT and the issuer legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in bold relief. The motto E·PLURIBUS·UNUM arcs along the upper rim, V.D.B. appears in the lower central field, and the bullion legends 1 OUNCE ADVP and .999 FINE COPPER are inscribed in small text along the lower exergue area.
