| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a second portrait of the greater kudu bull, again in right-facing three-quarter profile with the characteristic elongated spiralling horns rising prominently through the upper field, here shown with the animal gazing upward in a dynamic composition. A stylised crescent arc frames the subject, while bare thorn-tree branches in low relief populate the surrounding field, evoking the kudu's natural bushveld habitat. The series name NATURA is boldly inscribed across a curved banner in the upper portion of the design, with the denomination and fineness inscription 1 OZ Au 999.9 appearing above it along the upper rim. The engraver's initials ALS are present in the lower field of the inner circle. |
