| Reverse description | Three crosses are arranged prominently in the field: a large central cross flanked by two smaller crosses at left and right, all rising from a decorative foliate base and enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The composition alludes to the Crucifixion at Golgotha. The surrounding Latin legend, reading HINC·SALVS·ET·RESVRRECTIO·ANNO·IIII, translates as 'Hence salvation and resurrection, year four,' referencing the fourth year of the Doge's reign. The reverse design is boldly struck with strong relief typical of Venetian osella production. |
