Obverse description Allegorical figure of Pietas seated facing right in flowing classical drapery, her right arm outstretched toward a decorated cylindrical altar or pedestal at left, set against a plain field. The figure is rendered in high relief in a Baroque-classicist style. The encircling Latin legend reads PIETAS OPTIMI PRINCIPIS around the upper periphery, with the mintmaster initials F · D separated by ornamental stops at the base below the figure. The coin is bordered by a bold beaded (dentilated) rim.

Reverse description Five-line Latin inscription within a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base, reading PAULI REINERJ / PRINC·MUNUS / ANNO V / 1783, recording the gift (munus) of Doge Paolo Renier in the fifth year of his reign. The wreath is rendered in fine relief with individually detailed leaves and berries. The entire composition is contained within a beaded border matching the obverse.
