The figure is rendered in high relief in a Baroque-classicist style. The encircling Latin legend reads PIETAS OPTIMI PRINCIPIS around the upper periphery, with the mintmaster initials F · D separated by ornamental stops at the base below the figure. The coin is bordered by a bold beaded (dentilated) rim. |
