| Obverse description | St. Mark, patron saint of Venice, is depicted seated to the left, extending a staff adorned with a cross and pennant toward the kneeling Doge Giovanni Corner II at right, who receives the symbol of his ducal authority in a gesture of investiture. The composition follows the established Venetian osella tradition of the donor-recipient type. The encircling legend identifies the Doge by name and title. The mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue below the figural group. |
