| Beschrijving voorzijde | Saint Mark seated facing on an ornate throne to the left, clad in bishop's vestments and nimbus, holding a crozier or banner staff in his right hand. To the right, the kneeling figure of Doge Domenico Contarini, shown in ducal robes and corno ducale, receiving the banner from the saint. The design is set within a beaded inner border, with the mintmaster's initials G·L positioned in the lower exergue. The composition follows the traditional Venetian presentation type used on oselle. |
