Obverse description The winged Lion of Saint Mark is depicted seated facing, holding an open book upon which a three-line Latin inscription is inscribed. The date 1732 appears in the exergue. The surrounding legend reads IN DIEBVS EIVS ABVNDANTIA PACIS, a biblical phrase denoting peace and abundance. The design is rendered in high relief with fine detail characteristic of Venetian medallic artistry of the early eighteenth century.
