| Reverse description | A five-line Latin dedicatory inscription enclosed within an elaborate baroque palm and laurel wreath, with scrolled foliate ornaments framing the cartouche. The text reads ALOYSII MOCENICO PRINC·VENE MUNUS·AN·3 1765, identifying the piece as a gift of Doge Alvise Mocenigo IV in the third year of his reign. A ducal corno ducale cap is prominently displayed above the wreath at the top of the field. The reverse composition is typical of the annual osella presentation pieces issued by the Venetian doges. |
