Obverse description The obverse depicts the traditional Venetian investiture scene: Saint Mark, the patron saint of Venice, seated on the left with a nimbus, robed and holding a processional staff surmounted by a cross, from which flies a banner bearing the Lion of Saint Mark. To his right stands the kneeling Doge Alvise III Mocenigo in ceremonial ducal robes and corno ducale, receiving the banner in a gesture of investiture. The circular Latin legend reads around the periphery, separated by a beaded inner border, with the year of the dogeship indicated at the base as AN·VII and the mintmaster's initials B·G· below.

Reverse description The reverse presents an allegorical female figure, personifying Peace or Abundance, standing facing in the centre of the field, draped in flowing robes and gesturing outward with both arms. To her left rises a tall olive branch or laurel bough, and to her right a fruiting tree, evoking prosperity and fertility. In the lower right background, a detailed rendering of a Venetian galley under sail is visible on calm waters, symbolising the maritime power and mercantile wealth of the Serenissima. The date 1728 appears in the exergue, flanked by stars, while the surrounding Latin legend IN VIRTVTE ET ABVNDANTIA PAX runs along the upper periphery within a beaded border.
