| Obverse description | Saint Mark the Evangelist seated facing right on an ornate throne, nimbed and robed, extending his right hand to present the gonfalon standard bearing the Lion of Saint Mark passant upon a shield to the kneeling Doge, who is shown in profile facing left, dressed in ducal robes and the corno ducale. The scene is set within a beaded inner border. The circular legend reads around the periphery, with the mintmaster's initials D·T· appearing in the lower exergue. |
