| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse bears a six-line Latin dedicatory inscription in bold upright lettering centered within the field, recording this osella as a gift of Doge Alvise Contarini in the first year of his reign. The date 1676 and the year of the city's founding (1256) are incorporated into the surrounding circular legend, which runs along the inner border of the coin. The inscription and legend together follow the established Venetian osella formula, combining the Christian era date with the traditional Venetian anno urbis condita reckoning. |
