背面描述 A stylised tree occupies the central field, with upper branches bearing leaves pointing upward and outward, lower branches similarly splayed, and the trunk terminating in three distinct roots at the base. The rendering is schematic and typical of the flat, linear engraving style found on medieval Gotlandic hammered coinage. The central device is surrounded by a circular legend in uncial Latin script.

附加信息

Visby's municipal coinage occupies an unusual position in Scandinavian numismatics — the city struck its own silver as a self-governing Hanseatic port on Gotland, operating with a commercial independence that the Swedish crown repeatedly tried to curtail. These örtug were produced against the backdrop of the Black Death, which reached Gotland in 1350 and effectively ended the city's minting autonomy within a few years of this type's issue.

The five Haljak varieties catalogued for this type reflect meaningful die differences rather than trivial collector subdivisions.
