| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of King Sigismund III Vasa, shown standing in armour with an elaborately plumed helmet, holding a sceptre over his right shoulder. The figure is rendered in the late Renaissance hammered style, with detailed drapery and plate armour visible. A beaded inner circle frames the central design. The circumferential Latin legend reads SIGIS DG SVE & POL REX, with date numerals positioned in the field to either side of the monarch. |

| Reverse description | Central quartered shield of arms surmounted by a royal crown, displaying the combined heraldic devices of the Swedish realm: three crowns in the upper quarters and the lion of the Folkung dynasty in the lower quarters, with the Vasa sheaf appearing on an inescutcheon. The shield is flanked by the mint letters I and O (denoting the Stockholm mint) and set within a beaded inner border. The surrounding Latin legend reads MONOVA REG SVE followed by the denomination mark Ö (Öre), all struck in the characteristic broad hammered fabric of late sixteenth-century Swedish coinage. |
