Oscar II's early bronze öre coinage went through a quiet but consequential revision during this window: the large-letter variety was produced for only a few years before the dies were reworked with smaller lettering, making the two types distinct enough to collect as separate issues. The change was purely a production and aesthetic decision at the Stockholm mint, with no policy change behind it.
