Obverse description Central crowned quadripartite coat of arms of the Vasa dynasty kings of Sweden, with quarters 1 and 4 bearing three crowns arranged 2-and-1 representing modern Sweden, and quarters 2 and 3 displaying a crowned lion representing old Sweden, with the Vasa dynastic sheaf at the inescutcheon center. The shield is surmounted by an ornate royal crown. A circular Latin legend commences at 12 o'clock and runs along the coin's circumference.
