| 表面の銘文 | A. F. R. S. 1768 (Translation: (A·F·R·S = ADOLPHUS FRIDERICUS REX SVECIAE) Adolf Fredrik King of Sweden) |
| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a heraldic shield charged with two crossed arrows in saltire, a device associated with the Swedish postal service and the Bergslagen mining districts. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown of elaborate form. The denomination legend is divided by the shield, with 'I' and 'ÖR' appearing to the upper left and upper right respectively, and 'K·' and 'M·' flanking the lower portion of the shield. The design is contained within a plain inner circle with a toothed outer rim consistent with the obverse. |

Adolf Fredrik's reign saw Sweden's copper coinage caught between two competing monetary factions — the "Caps" and the "Hats" — whose decades-long parliamentary struggle over currency policy had already destabilized the riksdaler exchange rate well before this piece was struck. The 1768 date places it in the final years of his reign, a period of relative political exhaustion following the Hat party's collapse after the disastrous Pomeranian War.
Swedish plate money (plåtmynt) had long anchored the copper currency system, and the small öre denominations functioned as its fractional shadow — issued in quantity but frequently melted or restruck as policy shifted.
