| Obverse description | A lion rampant occupies the central field, facing left with raised forepaws, rendered in the vigorous late-Renaissance style typical of Swedish apanage coinage. The numeral or value mark appears either below the lion or at its side depending on the die variety, with one type omitting the value entirely. A beaded inner border frames the design, while a circular Latin legend runs along the periphery identifying the issuing duke. |

| Reverse description | A crowned shield bearing three open crowns arranged two-over-one — the arms of Sweden — occupies the central field, flanked by the initials G and R on either side. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown and enclosed within a beaded inner border. A circular Latin legend reading MONETA SVECIA runs around the periphery, identifying this as Swedish coinage. The overall design is characteristic of the small billon öre coinage struck for the Swedish appanage duchies in the early seventeenth century. |
