| Beschrijving keerzijde | The municipal seal of Norrköping occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend in the outer margin identifies the issuing city, with the date 1626 appearing at the conclusion of the inscription. The design reflects the practice of provincial mint coinage under the Swedish Crown during the early seventeenth century. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Gustav II Adolf's copper coinage program was still in its infancy in 1626, and small silver öre pieces like this one were being struck at Norrköping as Sweden scrambled to finance its expanding Baltic ambitions — costs that would soon balloon into full Swedish intervention in the Thirty Years' War the following year. The Norrköping mint operated intermittently and was never the primary facility, which contributes directly to the relative scarcity of its dated output compared to contemporary Stockholm issues.
