Obverse description Central field occupied by the elaborate crowned royal arms of Sweden, featuring a quartered shield displaying the three crowns of Sweden and the lion of the Folkung dynasty, surmounted by an open royal crown. The shield is flanked by ornate scrollwork and supported by decorative mantling. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the entire design within a raised rim, reading the full royal titulature of Gustav II Adolf. The engraving is bold and deeply struck in the early Swedish hammered copper coinage style.
