| Obverse description | Central field bears the interlaced royal cipher of Frederik VIII rendered as an elaborate crowned monogram, with the initial F intertwined in mirror-image symmetry and surmounted by a large royal crown with orb finial. The monogram occupies nearly the full diameter of the coin, executed in high relief with fine decorative scrollwork. A beaded border runs along the entire circumference. The engraver's initials GJ appear discreetly at the base of the monogram. No legend is present on this face, the royal cipher serving as the sole identifier of the issuing monarch. |
