Beneath it, the denomination 'ØRE' is inscribed in capital letters across the lower portion of the field. To the left and right of the numeral, decorative spiral ornaments in a Viking-inspired scrollwork style provide an artistic flourish characteristic of early twentieth-century Danish coinage.
