| Obverse description | Central device depicts the design of Chile's first independent coin — a volcano erupting above mountains — enclosed within a circular legend and surrounded by a laurel wreath crowned by a five-pointed star. The outer legend reads along the upper periphery, with the issuer name ASOCIACION NUMISMATICA DE CHILE flanking the central device, and the denomination and date UNA ONZA TROY 2017 in the lower field. Designer's signature R. URZÚA appears in the lower exergue. |
