Obverse description Helmeted head of Minerva facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet with raised cheekpieces and a prominent crest. The facial features are rendered in the archaic-influenced Italic style characteristic of early Samnite-region coinage. The field is plain and devoid of legend or additional devices. The die work displays competent if provincial engraving consistent with a Latin colony mint of the early third century BC.
