Obverse description Saint George depicted on horseback, nimbus encircling his head, thrusting a lance downward to slay the dragon beneath the horse. The figure is rendered in a crude but expressive medieval style typical of hammered Adriatic coinage. Two pellets appear below the horse in the lower field. The partial legend is visible along the periphery, though much of it is obscured by the irregular flan.
