背面描述 The reverse features a detailed depiction of the pre-Columbian archaeological ruins of Tunanmarca, a Xauxa hilltop settlement from the 13th to 16th centuries, rendered with textured stone masonry walls and rubble in the central and lower field. The denomination '1' appears prominently to the left, overlaid with the word 'NUEVO SOL' in vertical arrangement, while stylized parallel lines fill the right portion of the inner field. The inscriptions 'TUNANMARCA' and 'S. XIII – XVI d.c.' are positioned in the upper portion of the design, separated from the main field by a ruled line. The entire composition is set within a chamfered octagonal inner border consistent with the series design.

附加信息

Tunanmarca is a pre-Inca walled hilltop settlement in the Junín region, occupied primarily by the Xauxa people before the Inca expansion absorbed them in the mid-fifteenth century. The site is notable for its dense circular stone dwellings — an architectural form that predates Inca orthogonal planning — and was among the largest urban centers in the Andes before Huayna Capac's forces arrived. This coin is part of the Banco Central's ongoing "Riqueza y Orgullo del Perú" circulation commemorative program, which has issued dozens of regional and archaeological subjects since 2010.
