正面描述 The national coat of arms of Peru occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three quarters bearing a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia, surmounted by a wreath of laurel and palm fronds tied at the base. The circular legend BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ runs along the upper periphery, while the date 2010 appears in the lower exergue. The design is framed by a raised inner border following the coin's round form.

附加信息

Karajia, a remote cliff site in the Amazonas region of northern Peru, contains ceramic sarcophagi created by the Chachapoya culture — a people conquered by the Inca only decades before Spanish contact, leaving their material traditions poorly documented. The Peruvian central bank's "Riqueza y Orgullo del Perú" circulating commemorative series, of which this is one issue, was specifically designed to fund awareness of endangered archaeological sites through mass circulation rather than collector premiums.

The Chachapoya sarcophagi at Karajia stand up to 2.5 meters tall and were placed in cliff niches largely inaccessible without ropes.
