Reverse description A floriated cross with a lion passant guardant in each angle occupies the centre of a highly ornate design, with the cross terminating in fleur-de-lis finials. The four quarters formed by the cross each contain a crowned lion passant guardant alternating with a fleur-de-lis, set within a cusped inner circle framed by an elaborate trefoil and quatrefoil ornamental border. A circular legend in uncial Latin script runs around the periphery within a beaded outer border.
