Aanvullende informatie

The Noble is one of the few modern bullion series with a genuine medieval pedigree — the original English gold noble, first struck under Edward III in 1344, was specifically designed to dominate North Sea trade and carried a face value calculated against the silver coinage of competing Continental mints. The Isle of Man revived the name for its bullion program beginning in 1983, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Krugerrand and Maple Leaf during the period when investor bullion coinage was rapidly diversifying beyond South African dominance.

The Viking longboat motif ties the reverse to the island's Norse settlement history, which predates the Manx kingdom formally recognized under the Sodorensian bishops of the 12th century.
