| Beschrijving voorzijde | King Edward III stands facing within a large fighting ship, depicted in full armour holding a shield emblazoned with the quartered arms of England and France in his left hand and a drawn sword raised in his right. The ship is shown with elaborate rigging, furled sails, and a fore and stern castle, with stylised waves rendered beneath the hull. A cross-staff flag flies from the main mast, and small lions and lis adorn the ship's castles and rails. The circumscription legend in Gothic lettering is contained between an inner beaded circle and an outer cable border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A floriated cross pattée with a central raised boss occupies the field, its four arms terminating in trefoil finials and enclosing lions passant guardant and lis alternately in the four quarters. The cross is set within a quadrilobe formed by four cusped arcs, with additional decorative foliage filling the spandrels. The entire design is executed in high relief typical of the pre-treaty noble series. The reverse legend in Gothic letters, referencing the biblical passage of Christ passing through the crowd, runs between a beaded inner circle and an outer cable border, with a cross at the commencement of the inscription. |
