Issued as part of Israel's annual "Biblical Art" commemorative series, this coin was struck by the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation under contract — an arrangement Bank of Israel used during the 1990s when domestic production capacity was supplemented by foreign mints. The series itself drew from a rotating pool of narrative subjects tied to the Hebrew Bible, with the flood account selected for this year's release.
Mintage for the proof strikes was capped at 4,000 pieces.
