| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a richly detailed artistic scene depicting the biblical narrative of Jacob's Dream (Genesis 28:10–19). The reclining figure of Jacob is shown lying on the ground in the foreground, his posture conveying deep slumber. Rising dramatically from behind him, a grand ladder extends from the earth toward the heavens, with angelic figures ascending and descending along its length. The composition is rendered in a painterly, high-relief style that emphasises depth and spiritual atmosphere, with the ladder and celestial figures dominating the upper portion of the field. The overall design is conceived in a representational figurative tradition consistent with Israeli commemorative coinage of this series. |
