| Reverse description | Central motif depicts a silver Hanukkah lamp (Hanukkiyah) of English origin, dated 1709, from the Felix Navarro Collection of the London Jewish Museum. The lamp is elaborately crafted and features a scene of the prophet Elijah being fed by ravens, rendered in fine relief. The entire composition is framed within a decorative border shaped in the outline of a Hanukkah lamp. A Hebrew inscription along the lower border identifies the artifact, reading 'Hanukkah Lamp from England — 18th Century.' |
