Reverse description The reverse displays a finely detailed depiction of a 19th-century Algerian Hanukkah lamp (chanukiah), rendered in an ornate Moorish architectural style. The lamp features a row of eight oil fonts along the base, surmounted by an elaborate filigree-decorated backplate framed by a horseshoe arch, with a crescent-and-star finial at the apex reflecting the lamp's North African cultural origin. A suspension chain is visible at the right side of the lamp. The Hebrew legend 'חנוכיה מאלג'יר המאה הי'ט' (Hanukkah lamp from Algeria, 19th century) appears along the left border and across the lower field.
