| 正面描述 | At center, the State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches — appears above the face value '1 שקל חדש' (1 New Sheqel). The legend 'ISRAEL' is inscribed in three scripts — Latin, Hebrew (ישראל), and Arabic (إسرائيل) — arcing around the emblem. The Hebrew year (5778) and Gregorian mint year (2018) are present, along with the mint mark. Around the lower border, decorative motifs representing a camel train and a water jug accompany the trilingual inscription 'Isaac and Rebecca' / 'יצחק ורבקה' / 'إسحاق ورفقة'. |

Part of Israel's ongoing Biblical Stories series, this issue depicts the scene from Genesis 24 in which Abraham's servant identifies Rebecca at the well as the intended bride for Isaac. The series has been struck continuously since the 1990s and functions as the Bank of Israel's primary vehicle for silver commemorative coinage aimed at both domestic collectors and the diaspora market.
KM#559 is a relatively late entry in the series, issued well after the program had established its collector base.
