Obverse description Cast iron cash-type coin with a central square perforation surrounded by a plain inner rim. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform fashion around the central hole, reading clockwise from the top: 乾元重寶 (Qian Yuan Zhong Bao), denoting the denomination and reign era. The field is unadorned, and the outer rim is slightly irregular, consistent with the sand-casting technique employed. The coin exhibits heavy iron corrosion and surface encrustation typical of excavated Goryeo-period issues.
