| 表面の説明 | Cast bronze cash-type coin centred on a raised-rim square perforation. The four Chinese characters of the legend 常平通寶 (Sangpyong T'ongbo — 'Ever-Normal Circulating Treasure') are disposed in cruciform arrangement around the square hole, reading top-bottom-right-left in the traditional manner. The characters are rendered in regular-script (kaishu) style in raised relief against a flat, unadorned field. The outer rim is slightly raised and undecorated, consistent with the cast manufacture typical of late Joseon provincial issues. |

| 裏面の説明 | Cast bronze reverse centred on the square perforation, with two Chinese characters disposed in the upper and lower positions relative to the hole. The character 平 (Pyong, abbreviation for P'yongan Province) appears at the top, and the series character 日 (Sun) appears at the bottom, both in raised regular-script relief against a plain field. The left and right positions flanking the square hole are blank, following standard Joseon provincial mint practice for identifying the issuing office and emission series. The rim is plain and slightly raised. |
