| Reverse description | The reverse of this cast cash coin displays a central square hole flanked by two Chinese characters in the horizontal axis and one character in the vertical axis. At the top appears 平 (Pyong), the mint mark denoting the Pyongan Provincial Office (P'yŏngan Gamyŏng), while at the bottom appears 生 (Saeng), indicating the 'Produce' series. To the right of the central hole appears the series number 五 (O), designating Series 5. The characters are positioned in the four cardinal fields surrounding the square perforation, following standard Joseon cash coin convention. |
