| Reverse description | The reverse of this cast bronze cash coin features two Chinese characters in raised relief arranged in the field around the central square perforation. The character 禁 (Kum), denoting the Kumwiyong (Court Guard Military Unit), appears above the square hole, identifying the issuing mint authority. The numeral 八 (eight), indicating Series 8 of the issue, is positioned below the square perforation. Both characters are executed in traditional regular script with clear, well-defined strokes. The plain raised rim frames the spare, functional design typical of Joseon administrative coinage. |
