The 1 Mun was the base denomination of the Joseon Dynasty's cash coin system, and by the mid-19th century production was fragmented across dozens of authorized furnaces — government offices, military bureaus, and even provincial agencies all held minting rights at various points. KM#58 issues can be attributed to specific furnaces through the reverse characters, which functioned as mint identifiers rather than decorative elements.
