| Descrizione del dritto | Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged symmetrically around a raised square central hole boss, reading clockwise from the top: 饒 (top), 益 (right), 神 (bottom), 寳 (left), forming the legend 饒益神寳 (Nyōyakushinpō, meaning 'Divine treasure of abundant profit'). The characters are rendered in relief within the inner field, bounded by a raised square rim enclosing the central perforation and a plain outer rim. The flat field between the square boss and the outer rim shows no additional ornamentation. Known variant types exhibit differences in character size and the positional relationship of individual characters to the outer and inner rims. The coin is also referred to in numismatic literature as Nyōekishinpō and Jōekishinpō. |
