Descrizione del rovescio	Plain flat field surrounding a central square hole, with a small mark or character (ichi, 一) positioned below the hole serving as a mint or batch control mark. The reverse is otherwise entirely unadorned, with a plain raised rim at the outer edge consistent with standard cast cash coin production. The surface displays the typical rough texture of a cast copper flan.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Cast — not struck — at a private foundry operated by the Kanō family in the early Edo period, this piece belongs to a category of commercial coinage tolerated rather than officially sanctioned by the Tokugawa shogunate. The bakufu had not yet consolidated monetary policy tightly enough to suppress regional and merchant-family casting operations, and the Kanō foundry exploited that window for three decades. The wide DHJ reference range reflects genuine die and mold variation across the production run — minor differences in calligraphic execution and casting quality distinguish individual types within the series.
