| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears the imperial name and title of Shah Jahan rendered in bold, fluid Nasta'liq calligraphy across two registers, divided by a horizontal rule. The legend reads 'Sahib Qiran Sani Shah Jahan Badshah Ghazi' (secondary lord of the auspicious conjunction, Shah Jahan, King, Warrior of the Faith). The inscription is framed by a dotted inner border encircling the entire design, with additional calligraphic marginal legends visible in the outer field. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-hammered Mughal gold coinage of the period. |
