| Obverse description | The obverse field displays three horizontal lines of bold Nasta'liq calligraphy occupying the full flan, a characteristic layout of Mughal gold mohurs of this period. The central band bears the primary royal legend naming the emperor Shah Alam Bahadur, flanked above and below by subsidiary lines of Persian inscription. The lettering is deeply and crisply struck in high relief against a plain, unadorned field, with no border or decorative frame. The irregular, slightly lobate edge of the hammered flan is typical of Qandahar mint production of the early 18th century. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents three horizontal registers of bold Nasta'liq Persian calligraphy filling the entire coin surface, consistent with standard Mughal mohur coinage of the period. The upper register contains the mint name Qandahar (قندهار), while the central band bears the regnal year legend, and the lower register records the hijri date or additional mint epithets. All inscriptions are struck in bold, deeply incised relief characteristic of the hammered technique employed at provincial Mughal mints. The plain, unornamented field and irregular flan edge are hallmarks of Qandahar mint issues under Shah Alam Bahadur. |
